Patient Rights

1- The right to receive compassionate, respectful care in a manner consistent with cultural and traditional values.


2- The right to know the names of the treating doctors, nurses, and staff involved in their care, and to communicate openly with them.


3- The right to clear and complete information about their diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis, including the use of understandable medical terms.


4- The right to be informed of available treatment alternatives and the risks/benefits of each, before making a decision.


5- The right to seek a second medical opinion and to refuse or discontinue treatment, within legal and ethical boundaries.

Patient Responsibilities

1- To follow the rules and policies of the healthcare facility.


2- To provide complete and accurate information regarding their health.


3- To follow the treatment plan as advised by their doctor, or to clearly express their refusal.


4- To respect all regulations of the center, including appointments, schedules, and financial obligations.


5- To treat staff, doctors, and fellow patients with respect and dignity, and avoid offensive behavior.


6- To respect the rights and privacy of other patients.
